Robert Thomas Pattinson was born in London, England, on May 13th, 1986. When he was 15 years old, he began playing different parts in amateur plays with the Barnes Theatre Company. In 2003, Robert met director Mike Newell, and agreed to play Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth book in J. K. Rowling's popular series Harry Potter. Since then, he has played a few roles in different films, such as The Summer House, How To Be, and Little Ashes.

Just recently, Robert landed an extremely major role playing Edward Cullen in the highly anticipated movie Twilight based on the book by world-renowned author Stephenie Meyer. After this huge accomplishment, Rob has been awarded with quite a few trophies, such as being named Rolling Stone's Hottest Actor of 2008, Entertainment Tonight's Top Hunk of 2008, and Yahoo's Top Movie Heartthrob of 2008.

Robert is not just talented in acting, he also plays the piano and guitar quite well. He has been playing piano since three or four years old, and the guitar since age five or six. He composes his own score, mostly blues and jazz music. He is in a band in London called "Bad Girls," and performs a song in his movie Twilight called "Never Think," which he wrote by himself. He was also going to compose Twilight's famous "Bella's Lullaby" for the movie, but his version didn't quite make the cut, and eventually, the final lullaby was written by Carter Burwell.
